WHAT TINT IS RIGHT FOR ME?
We’ve all experienced the benefits of tinted windows. Keeping the sun out of your eyes, privacy, protection from interior UV damage, heat reduction, etc. Its not a mater of “Should I tint my car?” but rather, “What tint should I go with?” Here we are going to give you all the information and let you make the best decision for yourself, your vehicle, and your wallet.
If you’ve done any searching online you have probably stumbled across numerous brands of window film (3m, Suntek, Llumar, ASWF, Huper Optik, etc). The truth is that most of these, and other brands have at least one line, or series of film that could meet your needs. As with most other things in life Window Film can be broken into three different categories, Low, Mid, and High Grade.
High Grade films offer both great performance and stunning good looks. With a high grade film you will get not only a lifetime warranty, and great looks, but also heat and UV reduction. No matter what tint percentage you choose, a high grade film. will always reflect more heat than a mid grade product.
Mid Grade films have significantly higher standards and will offer a lifetime warranty. These films are guaranteed not to crack, bubble, peel or change colors. They will continue to look great for many, many years. They are, however, designed exclusively for privacy/looks and offer little in the UV/heat reduction department.
Low Grade films are something we won’t touch. These films typically look good for the first six months and then due to UV exposure will bubble, crack, and peel. Stay away!
